Chi Alpha is a student organization on the university campus. We believe in making a space to allow the Holy Spirit to bring people together in community. In Scripture, we see that when Jesus enters a space EVERYTHING changes. Chi Alpha desires to be a part of that change in the life of every college student so that Jesus has space to rewrite their story.

WHAT WE DO

WEEKLY SERVICE: Join us every Tuesday at 7PM in the DUC for a time of powerful worship, a relevant message, and an opportunity to connect with friends.

CORE GROUPS: Our core groups meet together all around campus to discuss the Bible and its application to our lives. This is where real relationship happens and deep friendships are formed. We pray together, laugh together, and seek God together.

AUTHENTIC COMMUNITY: We are more than a ministry - we are a family. We love to have fun, eat food, and do life together. Join us for a friend dinner, fall & winter retreats, or a backyard bonfire.

MISSIONS ORIENTED: Missions are a big deal to us. Missions is not something we do but a way of life. We live missions. We offer international and a US missions trip options during the academic year. We want to be obedient to when God calls us to help the Nations know His hope- We support and send missionaries all over the world.

Tom & Nicole Barg

UWSP Chi Alpha Directors

Tom & Nicole were called into ministry with Chi Alpha in 2018. Prior to college ministry, Tom was working as an architectural designer and Nicole as a nurse. Their journey into Chi Alpha began with a nationally accredited Campus-Missionary-in-Training (CMIT) internship at UL-Lafayette. Afterward, they joined Chi Alpha staff at UW-Madison to gain more leadership experience. Now, they are excited to be back in central WI to bring Chi Alpha to UWSP!
